Bundle ID
Apple identifier
Apple App Store enforcement requires the Bundle ID — visible in the App Store URL — as the primary identifier. Without it, reports cannot be linked to the specific app.
Package
Google Play identifier
Google Play enforcement requires the package name (com.developer.appname) from the Play Store URL. This is distinct from the app display name and is required for all reports.
APK
Forensic analysis target
For technical copying claims — copied code, assets, or UI — the APK or IPA file can be downloaded for forensic analysis by a technical expert.
Key Principle
App store listings are removed within hours of a successful IP report — and cannot be recovered after removal. The complete listing, developer profile, screenshots, and description must be captured before any report is filed.
